whooda thunk it???

during school on Wednesday it started to snow...not just flurries but the stuff that stuck to the ground! our entire lunch period was filled with snowball fights and camera flashes (: snow is a rarity in Nowhere, NV.
ANYWAYS...
the news later that night (after the snow continued to fall)(6 HOURS STRAIGHT!) we were informed that school would be canceled the following day...i think i almost peed my pants laughing so hard...i never thought i would see the day that we had a Snow Day in Las Vegas

So Thursday morning Britt, Cait, and I woke up to a snow covered street, yard, car, you name it.

even the cactus were covered

so the first thing the three of us do is get dressed semi nice and take pictures

And build a snowman of course...who wouldnt???

This is Cull I. Nary. he is very pleased to meet you.

We also decided that you cannot build a snowman and not have a little fun with him...(i think we might have embarrassed him slightly)

and you cant forget the fun/pretty pictures (:

now these ones are a little different...we decided that we wanted the snow in our hair and we crouched under the small tree where the pond used to be
*now keep in mind that the three of us are taking all of these pics by ourselves with the tripod*
so back to the story (:
brittnety sets up the camera and caitlin and i are trying to cover our hair with snow...
well britt decides she wants to slip and crash down on top of us as we are waiting for the timer to go off and take the pic...so snow is flying EVERYWHERE! and the three of us are screaming and laughing...
actually that didnt happen...but it livens things up (:

we did get some very good pics though

and who could resist throwing snow at her while shes on the ground???

and dont forget the snowball fight(s)

this time snow really was flying!! you shoulda seen all those feathers! hehe jk

so after the snowball fight we decided we wanted some more nice pics...
so we found the trailor with tons of clean/unmessed-with snow and plopped down in it (:

this is where the funny things really happened...we almost dropped the camera in the snow...and then after britt set up the timer she stepped on the boards that were on the ground to get over to the trailor and they moved (: need i say more?? of course!!
she didnt fall on her face like i would have, but she did slip and slide while cait and i laughed histerically (: jk

amd of course the butt pic just for mom (:

and the "cat scaring the mice" pic just to please britt (:

and the snow angels

britt made the first one and we all laid in it hehe (she was the coldest)

i must say thought that these were some awkward pics (:

across the street there is a house that has a flat driveway with now cars (:
so we couldnt resist kicking it up and having a little fun
it was almost solid so cait had trouble dragging her feet in it

and shadow people were pretty funny against the white

or caitlins bronco ride

she almost fell off a time or two...
but the clock was on her side

and of course the final pic of our two hour adventure that Dad took...
it is definitely the best of them all...
even though the other ones are funnier
i must say that the snow is great...and cold...and i dont want to repeat any part of it more than every now and then
the most amazing part of the situation though is that the snow was still around 5 days later
it usually melts by the afternoon

I already stole them......since it will take another year to get them off your camera. What fun! I am going to forward this to family in Utah.

This is from Aunt Linda......

Loved seeing the pictures. The girls are all so cute and fun, and indeed--growing up to be real beauties! The story was very creative and interesting and the music appropriate (for their age group!). That will be a snow storm for the memory book for sure. Love you gals and the way you share some of your talents. Aunt Linda

Thanks! Love to all and merry, merry; happy, happy . . .
